Gift of Salvation and Reconciliation Ministry

Salvation is the most important thing in the life of every human being. Salvation ushers you in into the kingdom of God on earth. Without salvation, you have no inheritance in the LORD. It is the admission letter of a believer into the school of eternal life. Those who graduate will receive the certificate of glory in the Kingdom of heaven. So no one can do without salvation; the only thing left outside salvation is hell fire.

In the beginning, God made everything good, he made man in his image and likeness to be like Him; and to have dominion and reign over all the works of His hand in all realms of existence on earth, under the earth or the sea, and in the heavens. Genesis 1:27-28 recorded that God made man (male and female) in His image.

In Genesis 2:15, we see how God built a paradise, a beautiful garden of Eden, and put man in charge to manage it and enjoy every good thing in it; which man does not know when or how they came to be. This divine blessing may be likened to enjoying a multi-trillion Dollar investment, which you do not know when and how it came about; or where the idea/vision was conceived.

In Genesis 3:3-11, we see how the devil deceived man; man obeyed the devil by disobeying God. And consequently, this single act led to man’s downfall: he fell from the glory of God. Man was cursed and everything around him fell apart, including the very ground that produces food and other resources for man’s needs. We see in Genesis 3:23-24, how man was punished and chased out of his inheritance; that prosperous beautiful garden he did not work for, which he only enjoyed because of his initial right standing with God before the fall.

  • He lost his dominion over everything, his authority to reign on earth, in Heaven, in the sea and over all God’s creation. He lost his power to become the son of God, John 1: 12.
  • The devil who is the arch enemy of God and His Children, executed his plan designed against the eternal destiny of man, which is to reign with God over all His creation. He succeeded in dethroning man from being like God and having God’s nature. The woe of man started ever since that fall.
  • The beautiful and wonderful relationship man had with God was destroyed, as man could no longer have fellowship with God as it was in the beginning.
  • Man could no longer enjoy divine protection and divine providence offered by having communion with God. Man’s spirit died that day, and was degraded from the statutes of God to something inferior: from supernatural to natural and ordinary.
Now it begs to the following questions?

How will man return to what he was in the beginning?
How will man be restored to his original status which is the God kind of life (Zoe)?
How will man regain his dominion over all God’s creation?
How will man enjoy sweet fellowship with God once again?
How will man receive the power to become the son of God as it was in the beginning?

Then arose the need for reconciliation, and man tried everything humanly possible to return to his former standing with God; but could not do much on his own, for a perfect sacrifice was required to pay for the sin of man and ransom man from the pang of death; (because the wages of sin is death Romans 6:23). But No other sacrifice was found worthy to atone for the sin of man once and fall all.

In order for God to reconcile man back to himself, He needed a perfect, precious and priceless sacrifice. A gift ( the gift of salvation), our Lord Jesus Christ, John 3:16. The sacrificial Lamb of God who was slain for the sin of the World and yet He lives forever, seated at the right hand of God making intercession for the Saint. Hallelujah! Amen!!!!!!!

According to John 3:16, Everlasting life is the product of our reconciliation to God, which He offers to everyone who believes in His Word, His Son: Our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the same ‘’expected end’’ God was speaking about in Jeremiah 29:11.

Jesus Christ is the Gift of Salvation, and He is the author of the ministry of reconciliation; and God has called all of us into this ministry through His son Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 says, ‘’and all things are of God, who had reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and had given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and had committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be you reconciled to God. For he had made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him’’.

Seven Key Steps to Man’s Salvation and Reconciliation to God

1. The first step to reconciling yourself to God is to realize that you have sinned against God.

  • You must realize that you have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
That you have disobeyed God’s word.
That you are living a disobedient and rebellious life.
That you have wondered far away from the paths of righteousness which God has set before you.
That you are far from the plan of God.
That you are not fulfilling your eternal destiny.
You must be broken and hate sin in its totality.
You must repent genuinely from anything that does not give God glory

2. The Second Step is Surrendering Your Life to Jesus Christ.

  • You must be born again (John 3: 3).
  • You must confess and forsake your sins (Proverbs 28: 13) return to God in prayer for forgiveness, just like the prodigal son, Luke 15:17-21.
  • You have to restore your downgraded spirit to the status of God again. John 3:3-5
  • You have to believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and died for your sin. Romans 10:10 says, for with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
  • You must confess him as your Lord and Saviour and allow him to take over your life.
  • You must start living for Jesus, knowing that your life is no longer yours, because you were dead in sin but ransomed by the blood of Jesus. Galatians 2:20 says, ‘’I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me’’.

3. The Third Step is to Turn from Your Evil Ways and Start Living a life Worthy of a Child of God (Matthew 3: 8)

Ephesians 4:1-2 says; ‘’ I therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love’’.

  • This step requires that you stop living in disobedience and rebellion.
  • Here, purging yourself from all filthiness of the body, soul and spirit is required.

2 Corinthians 7:1 says; ‘’having therefore the promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God’’.

  • You need to cleanse yourself from all sin, uncleanness and all unrighteousness and present your body as a living sacrifice to the Almighty God. Rom 12:1-2.
  • Here, separation from the old man, old nature, old habits, old ways of life, old ways of thinking, old friends and associates and all forms of old desires and lust is required (Colossians 3: 5-10).
  • 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 says; ‘’ Wherefore, come out from among them, and be you separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty’’. This is the reason why most believers have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire.
  • This steps require sanctification and living a Holy life; God’s kind of life. 2 Timothy 2:21 says that ‘’If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified and fit for the Master’s use, and prepared unto every good work’’.
  • Matthew 3:8 says ‘’Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance’’.

The reason many believers are living in powerlessness, without vision, and without exercising their God given dominion is because of lack of sanctification and consecration. This is required for baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire which makes power, authority, knowledge, wisdom, direction, revelation and dominion available to a believer, and this third step is the prerequisite for the fourth step of man’s reconciliation to God.

  • The reconciliation of man to God is a ministry, it is a journey; it is a race: it is a continuous washing with the Word of God until we meet the Lord.

4. The fourth step is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and Fire (The Anointing of Holy Spirit and Power).

  • Matthew 3:11 says ‘’I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear, he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire’’.
  • Acts 10:38 says ‘’ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with Power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him’’.

  • He is our helper, teacher and reminder, John 14:26.
  • He is the ticket to eternal life and resurrection. John 3:5-6
  • He fills one with the spirit of boldness. Acts 4: 31
  • He is the spirit of power, and of love, and of sound mind, 2 Timothy 1: 7.
  • He is the spirit of adoption, for us to become the sons of God. Romans 8:15.
  • He gives believers the understanding of their spiritual blessings and inheritance, 1 Corinthians 2:12-13.
  • The Holy Spirit provides the Gift of God for the ministry. 1 Corinthians 12:8-11.

The Holy Ghost is the spirit of judgement, justice and the power of creation. Isaiah 11:2 says ‘’and the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord’’.

So it obvious, that no believer will survive here on earth and fulfill his eternal destiny, without the in-filling and baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. The Holy Spirit helps a believer to work out his salvation with fear and trembling. In Acts 19:1-6, Paul talks about believers who were not baptized in the Holy Ghost. In Acts 8:14-17, we see Peter dwelling on the same baptism of the Holy Spirit. This emphasizes how important the subject is to any believer.

5. The Fifth Step is Seeking the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness First and Always.

  • Seek God’s own first and God will perfect all that concerns you. Matthew 6:33
  • Seeking God’s kingdom first means to be spiritually minded and not carnally minded.
  • It means to put the flesh under subjection to the will of God.
  • It means to serve with joyfulness and gladness of heart. Deuteronomy 28:47-48.
  • It means to surrender all your desires, what you like and what you do not like to God; it is no longer you that live, but Christ.

6. The Sixth Step is to never look back.

Luke 9:62, Jesus states that No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.

Hebrew 6:4-6 says that it is impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the son of God afresh, and put him to open shame.

  • So from the above scripture, we can see that a born again Christian, spirit filled, with the gifts of the Holy Ghost and knowledge of the word of God can still fall away. If anyone tells you that once you confess Christ, that you are saved forever, it is a lie. The notion of the once saved is saved forever: extreme grace teachings are lies from the pit of hell.
  • Revelation 2:25 says that we should  hold fast to what we already have, till Jesus comes.
  • Revelation 3:16  Jesus says that he will spit out of his mouth, anyone that is lukewarm.

7. The Seventh Step is Enduring Patiently to the End with Works of Love and Purity of Spirit, Soul and Body.

  • Matthew 24:13 says that he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved’’.
  • Revelation 2:26 says that anyone that overcomes, and keeps the works of Jesus unto the end, to him will Jesus give power over the nations.
  • Revelation 3:5 crowned it all, it says ‘’he that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels’. This scripture shows that your name can be blotted out of the book of life except you endure to the end.
  • Believing and confession of Christ is a step of reconciliation and restoration to God. But you have to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, Philippians 2:12 . You salvation is only complete when you abide in the Word of god and the Word of God abides in you till the appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ.
