Words of Salvation, Deliverance and Revival
Knowledge is power. If you know that something is dangerous, and you know all the characteristics of that thing and how you can eliminate, defeat, destroy, manage, control or handle it; that thing will be powerless where you are and you will not be afraid of it.
God says that His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge in the following scripture:
“Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”.
Also Proverbs 24:5 says “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. 24:6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety”.
Proverbs 18:15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
Proverbs 15:14 The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
If you know all the weaknesses of your enemy, your victory is certain. The God we serve is all powerful, He is present everywhere, and He is God of knowledge who knows all things. And we as believers are the children of the Most High God, we are made in His image, after His likeness; we are also complete in our God. The advantage we have over satan is that we are like God and Divine knowledge is our birthright which we can only access in Christ Jesus, the Word of God.
Jesus Christ is the Head of all principalities and powers, all powers bow to him and obey his Word, and Christ is in us and we are in him, and this is the hope of our glory. We are complete in Christ who is the Head of all principalities, therefore we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. In other words, if Christ is in us and we are in him, then, we are also the Head of all principalities since we are coheirs with Christ and he has given us all the power on earth, in heaven and in the sea.
Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them”.
Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 1:23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Colossians 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Therefore as a believer, you need to exploit all the weaknesses of your enemy, the devil to defeat him. The devil is a pretender and a liar, he pretends to be all powerful, all present, and all knowing, but that is just the opposite of who he is. He has weaknesses, he is not complete and has the Almighty God as his eternal enemy. All these give a believer a greater advantage over the devil and his strategies.
1. The number one weakness of the devil is that he does not know everything and his limited knowledge introduces cracks and fissures in his tactics and weapons against believers.
1 Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
2. Another weakness of the devil is that he is not present everywhere at the same time. He relies on the intelligence of the network of demons under his Command and once these agents of darkness are arrested by the prayers of a believer, there will be distortion in the information he has about that believer, confusion sets in into his camp and he is defeated.
Job 2:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
3. The third weakness of the devil is he is not all powerful like the Almighty God, after all, he was a creature of God. His power is greatly limited. The devil just like Goliath has an unprotected forehead, which every believer can exploit just like David did through Faith in God. The fiery stones of prayer and the Word of God can penetrate his forehead, as well as cut it off and cause him to be totally defeated.
The devil can also be put under restrictions by the Word of God just as God did in the case of Job in Job1:12
Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
Therefore, irrespective of the situation you may find yourself, Jesus Christ is your sure and Guaranteed Victory. Human options may be limited, but our God is unlimitedly powerful, knowledgeable and omnipresent.
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
